Größe zeigen. Eintauchen in entwaffnende Ehrlichkeit. Verletzlichkeit. Verlorene Makellosigkeit. Manchmal arrogant, manchmal introvertiert. Manchmal selbstverständlich. Aber auch: faszinierende Schönheit. Porträtiert in schwarz-weiß. Als ein stiller Begleiter von Menschen, die ich als Freund, Bekannter oder aber als Bewunderer über ein Jahr hinweg in Deutschland und Europa mit meiner LEICA begleitet, beobachtet und gezeichnet habe. So nahe, intim und respektvoll wie möglich. Und immer war ich beeindruckt vom Mensch als Individuum.

Revealing true greatness. Embracing disarmingly honest moments. Vulnerability. Embracing imperfections. At times, displaying arrogance, at others, introversion. Sometimes taken for granted, but also possessing a captivating beauty. Portrayed in classic black and white. As a silent observer and companion, I journeyed alongside people – friends, acquaintances or people of whom I’m a fan of – throughout Germany and Europe for a whole year, capturing their essence through my LEICA. I aimed to get as close, intimate and respectful as possible. Each individual left me consistently impressed.

Biografie

Meine Ausstellungen nennen sich bisher „Lookbooks“. Meine Plakate „Kampagnen“. Für Modemarken wie Hugo Boss, Baldessarini, Riani oder Rich & Royal. Aber auch für Hotelketten, Brauereien und andere bekannte Marken. Das mache ich selbstständig seit 2005 in einem 450 qm Studio, einen Steinwurf vom Stuttgarter Flughafen entfernt.

Geboren bin ich am 16.01.1982 in Kempten. Und das liegt im Allgäu. Und warum ein eigentlich naturverbundener Allgäuer ausgerechnet die Modewelt für sich entdeckt hat, liegt vermutlich daran, dass er seine Lehrjahre bei einem Meister der Sportmode-Fotografie verbracht und dort wohl für immer seine fotografische Liebe zu absoluter Präzision gefunden hat.

2022 dann wurden aus „Lookbooks“ Austellungen. Aus „Kampagnen“ Ausstellungsplakate. Und aus Fotostrecken wurde ein erstes Buch: Ordinary People. 2023 ein weiteres über den Alltag einer Psychosomatischen Klinik im Allgäu.

Biography

My exhibitions have been known as „Lookbooks” so far, while my poster go by the name of “Campaigns”. I’ve had the pleasure of working with renowned fashion brands like Hugo Boss, Baldessarini, Riani, and Rich & Royal, as well as collaborating with various well-known names in the hotel and other industries. Since 2005, I’ve been pursuing my passion independently in a spacious 450 sqm studio, conveniently located just a stone’s throw away from the airport Stuttgart.

I was born on January 16, 1982, in Kempten a charming town nestled in the beautiful Allgäu region. You might wonder why a nature enthusiast from Allgäu would dive headfirst into the world of fashion. Well, it probably has a lot to do with the time I spent learning the ropes from a master of sports fashion photography, where I developed an enduring love for the utmost precision in my craft.

In 2022, my “Lookbooks” underwent a transformation, blossoming into captivating exhibitions. Simultaneously, my once-called “Campaigns” gracefully morphed into striking exhibition posters. Notably, my captivating photo series birthed my first published book, aptly titled “Ordinary People”, which offers a fascinating glimpse into the lives of everyday individuals. Come 2023, I proudly released yet another enthralling book, this time delving into the everyday encounters of a psychosomatic clinic set amidst the tranquil backdrop of Allgäu.
